Event Branding

Each year, Ball State University commissions Studio 165+ to design the branding for the School of Art’s Annual Juried Student Art Show. After a theme is devised, the visuals are then executed through a range of deliverables, including posters, social media posts, a wall vinyl, and a digital show catalog.

The goal for this concept was to illustrate a Rube Goldberg machine containing pieces from the multiple different areas of study within the Ball State School of Art. The idea of a Rube Goldberg machine relates to the School of Art because, like on of these silly machines, the creative process for an artist can sometimes be wacky and nonsensical, but ultimately leads to a rewarding outcome that engages the viewer.
